Hello everyone!
Second class has been very busy this week as we decided to take part in the “Incredible edibles” project. This project will allow us to find out lots of new things about different vegetables, their uses and how important it is to have a healthy balanced diet. We made a great start to the project this week by planting potatoes, carrots, spinach and lettuce. Everyone in second class now has the responsibility of looking after these different vegetables as they flourish and grow over the next number of months. We can’t wait to see the results!!
We have also had lots of fun this week as it was Book week! All the children in second class designed their own bookmark so that they can use it when they are reading their favourite books! Everyone also had lots of fun on Thursday as we had the opportunity to dress up as our favourite character from a book. There was everyone from Spider man to Captain Hook in second class!! We would also like to say a big thank you to Claire Rudd who came to visit our class and read an extract from her favourite children’s book. Everyone really enjoyed listening to the adventures of Silky, Saucepan man, Moonface, Beth, Joe and Frannie in “The Faraway Tree”. Well done to everyone!
