Molly and Hannah came back to visit us today. The were in our class up to last Summer and we really enjoyed catching up with them. We also had a visit from a girl who may be joining our class in September. We really enjoyed meeting her and we are looking forward to having her in our class. While she was here, we sculpted with clay and we are delighted with the results.
During Golden Time, most of our class played a basketball match. Lisa has been coming to our school every week to teach us basketball skills and we love using those skills in our matches. This Wednesday we played basketball matches with Lisa and we enjoyed it so much, we decided to use our Golden Time for more!
On Thursday we went to the library for some quiet reading time which we followed with book reports.
The three schools on our campus came together in the Halla Glas for a very special event on Thursday. We made our own Olympic flames to wave at the event. Our principal Eimear got to hold the Special Olympics flame and some members of our class posed for a photo with the flame. The flame hit the school with a bang!
