The trek towards achieving an Educate Together second-level school seems at times like scaling Everest. But the Educate Together sector has high hopes for our education system and are determined to achieve them. The 29th of May is the anniversary of Hilary and Tensing scaling Everest and this is being used as a theme for a dinner in support of the campaign to open the first Educate Together second-level school.
The Aim High Dinner is an event which will unite all the key figures and opinion leaders in Irish education, notable figures from Irish Industry with an interest in education. There will be a launch of the second-level manifesto in the Gravity Bar at the start of the evening and an open letter to the minister will be published in the national papers calling for an immediate change in second-level policy. Support is needed to make this a success. All schools in the network are being asked to sell at least 3 tickets to the dinner. A magical evening can be expected at the Guinness Storehouse with spectacular views of Dublin city by night, beautiful food and the opportunity to meet with people who can influence a decision on second-level patronage in favour of Educate Together.
The easiest way to buy tickets is to log on to the Educate Together website www.educatetogether.ie and click on the ‘Buy Now’ button on the front page.
