Cool Comics
Well done to boys and girls form 2nd and 3rd class who have been working very hard this week making their own comic. Ethan, Samantha and Malak from 3rd class read the story ‘Hatch Egg Hatch’ and decided to make their own comic strip based on the story. First we divided the story into six parts. 6th Class update
Hi Everybody, Another busy week this week in 6th Class ... This week was our second session completing ceramics in art. A lady called Maeve is coming into our class every week for five weeks to create lots of memories for us to have in our school garden when we leave the school in June. Crazy Inventions
Today in class we used our scientific knowledge to come up with our own inventions using electrical circuits. We came up with loads of ideas that were really cool. Some of the things we invented were spinning baskets, a spoon fan, light-up glasses, book alarms, book lights, glasses with shades, desk buzzers and light-up hairbands. This week in First Class we have been learning about Rivers. We learned that the River Liffey flows through Newbridge and that most towns and cities are built on rivers because rivers are very useful. Long ago people wanted to live beside rivers so they could transport goods to different places and trade with people in other towns. Rivers also supplied people with water and fish.
