Rivers in First Class
This week in First Class we have been learning about Rivers. We learned that the River Liffey flows through Newbridge and that most towns and cities are built on rivers because rivers are very useful. Fun Times!
This week in First Class has been fun-filled! We've really been enjoying the beautiful weather; we had a picnic in the Cearnóg and while we ate we listened to the beginning of the story "James and the Giant Peach" by Roald Dahl. We're really looking forward to finding out what happens next in the story. We also planted our French Climbing Beans and they have begun to sprout already! Cd Cover Competition On Wednesday 21st two producers came into 5th class and told them they would like to make a cd with them. The Sun has got his hat on!!!
It was lovely to see all the children playing outside today. They really enjoyed it. The Junior Infants were playing with hula-hoops on the Cearnóg Spórt as a special treat today. This week we have been learning about the coast of Ireland. Because Ireland is an island we have lots of coastline to enjoy.
