Well done to boys and girls form 2nd and 3rd class who have been working very hard this week making their own comic. Ethan, Samantha and Malak from 3rd class read the story ‘Hatch Egg Hatch’ and decided to make their own comic strip based on the story. First we divided the story into six parts. Congratulations!

Firstly, congratulations to 3rd class for filling their jar full of marbles over the last few weeks. All you super hard work has paid off. The final reward was a party and we had a great party last week to celebrate. Secondly, a huge THANK YOU to all the thoughtful parents who baked and brought treats for the party. Sixth Class would like to thank everybody who has been helping us to fundraise for our trip to the Gaeltacht so far. We are completing a 5k walk with 5th this Friday and we are really looking forward to this... We are still fundraising but we would like to thank 3rd, 4th and 5th for helping us to reduce the cost of our trip to the Gaeltacht. So its never too late to sponsor us...! Garden Update

Its been another busy week and lots has been happening in the garden before the holidays! As 5th Class have been looking at The Great Famine in class, they planted some potatoes. We discussed where the potato came from and why people relied on it as a crop. 5th, 6th and 3rd class children all helped to plant some runner beans, carrots and leeks, whilst others also helped to build a new raised bed.
