Making Computer Games!

Everyone has been really busy in our after school club looking at Scratch Programming. In groups of 2/3, children made versions of the classic game 'Pong'. I've been amazed at how everyone has used teamwork and computer skills to help make their games. You can play them below! Sixth Class would like to thank everybody who has been helping us to fundraise for our trip to the Gaeltacht so far. We are completing a 5k walk with 5th this Friday and we are really looking forward to this... We are still fundraising but we would like to thank 3rd, 4th and 5th for helping us to reduce the cost of our trip to the Gaeltacht. So its never too late to sponsor us...! Hannah’s new website header!

Thank you for all the superb entries for the header competition. It was really tough to choose between all of the great designs.  After much discussion, we decided that Hannah Dowling's (4th Class) design really captured the theme of gardening.   We particularly liked how it showed children working together and enjoying the outdoors. Community Games Handwriting Winners…

Well done to the children in 3rd and 4th class who recently entered the Community Games Handwriting Competition. Cd Cover Competition On Wednesday 21st two producers came into 5th class and told them they would like to make a cd with them. They told us that they wanted 5th class to hold a competition, for the cover and the inside of the cd. There will be a competition for the inside of the cd cover for junior, senior, 1st and 2nd. The Sun has got his hat on!!!

It was lovely to see all the children playing outside today. They really enjoyed it. The Junior Infants were playing with hula-hoops on the Cearnóg Spórt as a special treat today. It’s wonderful to see everyone occupied and busy with fun activities, getting exercise and fresh air! Dunnes Stores Bag Pack -Saturday, 28th April 9-6pm We need you to help raise much needed funds for the school.  This is only an hour out of your time, but means a HUGE amount to our school.
