Fun Times!

This week in First Class has been fun-filled! We've really been enjoying the beautiful weather; we had a picnic in the Cearnóg and while we ate we listened to the beginning of the story "James and the Giant Peach" by Roald Dahl. We're really looking forward to finding out what happens next in the story. We also planted our French Climbing Beans and they have begun to sprout already! Teddy Bear’s Picnic!

On Thursday the weather was so nice that Junior Infants went to the wooded area behind our school to have a Teddy Bear's Picnic. Each person brought in their favourite Teddy Bear. Cross Country

NETNS cross country team 2012

Well done to all the children who represented NETNS at the Cumann na mBunscoil Cross country competition on Thursday the 29th of March. We had a great time over at the Hawkfield grounds and I'm very proud to inform you that each one of our  22 athletes completed the course. Cd Cover Competition On Wednesday 21st two producers came into 5th class and told them they would like to make a cd with them. They told us that they wanted 5th class to hold a competition, for the cover and the inside of the cd. There will be a competition for the inside of the cd cover for junior, senior, 1st and 2nd. The Sun has got his hat on!!!

It was lovely to see all the children playing outside today. They really enjoyed it. The Junior Infants were playing with hula-hoops on the Cearnóg Spórt as a special treat today. It’s wonderful to see everyone occupied and busy with fun activities, getting exercise and fresh air! N.E.T.N.S. Music Makers

On Wednesday the 21st of March two producers came into our class and told us we were going to produce a CD. We would be in charge of everything except they had already chosen and written the songs. We were all given jobs; most of us will monitor the rehearsals and teach the songs to the children of the school.
