Hello everyone, on the 26/04/12 we recorded our cd. It is called B.T.S. (Born to sing) Superstars, the name was picked by one of the students in 5th class. All of the classes came to 5th class to record their songs. The songs are Summer Time, Colours, Ugly Alien, Every day, Angles, We are the Kids, Superstars and Bright star. Thank you for all the superb entries for the header competition. It was really tough to choose between all of the great designs. After much discussion, we decided that Hannah Dowling's (4th Class) design really captured the theme of gardening. The Fifth and Sixth class project groups have begun working on projects based on “Endangered Species” today. Many species throughout the world are decreasing in population and are threatened with extinction. Though numerous environmental groups around the world fight for their survival, ongoing changes in the environment of these animals makes the job of protecting many species a difficult one. Garden Update

Its been another busy week and lots has been happening in the garden before the holidays! As 5th Class have been looking at The Great Famine in class, they planted some potatoes. We discussed where the potato came from and why people relied on it as a crop. 5th, 6th and 3rd class children all helped to plant some runner beans, carrots and leeks, whilst others also helped to build a new raised bed. Cd Cover Competition On Wednesday 21st two producers came into 5th class and told them they would like to make a cd with them. They told us that they wanted 5th class to hold a competition, for the cover and the inside of the cd. There will be a competition for the inside of the cd cover for junior, senior, 1st and 2nd. On Wednesday the 21st of March two producers came into our class and told us we were going to produce a CD. We would be in charge of everything except they had already chosen and written the songs. We were all given jobs; most of us will monitor the rehearsals and teach the songs to the children of the school.
