Tasty treats!
This week we have been learning all about where our food comes from. We were surprised to see how many things use milk; yoghurt, ice-cream, chocolate, cheese, butter and even some breads and cakes! We learned about how we get milk from some herds and beef from others. As well as getting milk from cows we can get milk from sheep and goats which can be used to make cheese too. €775 for 4 KIDS 2 LIVE
Today we had a very busy, but fun pyjama day! There were loads of people wearing pyjamas. All in different colours and designs. Some people were so brilliant that they brought in more than enough money to raise for the 4 kids 2 live charity in Kenya. We raised an amazing amount of money in total: 775.44 euro!!!! Collins or DeValera
This week in 4th class we had a serious and heated debate about the future of our country. Half of our class took on the role of Michael Collins and the pro-treaty side. The other half of the class took on the role of Eamon DeValera and the anti-treaty side. Once the facts had been dicussed in class....both sides were given time to prepare their arguements for their proposal. Then came the actual debate. Fishy News
In Art over the last two weeks we have been working with clay. We made clay fish with tails, fins, eyes and a big open mouth. When the clay dried we painted our fish using four bright colours and our own designs. In Science we talked about ways we can recycle and the different types of material that is recyclable.
